VILLAGES IN KWABHACA AND EMAXESIBENI TO BENEFIT FROM THE CONSTRUCTION OF THREE COMMUNITY HALLS

Umzimvubu Local Municipality is expected to commence with the construction of three community
halls in KwaBhaca and EmaXesibeni. These facilities are part of the Municipality’s commitment in
promoting social cohesion and integration among other things.

The Municipality has since invested an amount of R2.7 million for the construction of each facility.
These facilities will be constructed in the following villages during the course of this Financial Year
(2022/2023); Saphukanduku, Ntshakeni and Badibanise.

“It is clear that the improvement of access to quality infrastructure is a prudent medium to provide
hope to our residents. This assures our communities that government is commitment to the cause
and will continue to provide clear opportunities for social integration. Amidst the high-unemployment
rate within Umzimvubu, we expect more than 100 people to be employed during the construction of
these community halls” said Umzimvubu Mayor, Cllr Zukiswa Ndevu.

In aid of accountability and transparency, the Municipality commits to provide unremitting progress
on the construction of these facilities.
