UMZIMVUBU MAYOR WELCOMES MORE THAN 150 FOOD PARCEL DONATIONS FROM THE ALFRED NZO BUSINESS FORUM.
On the 28th April 2020, Umzimvubu Mayor, Cllr Sobane Mnukwa welcomed more than 150 food parcel donations from the Alfred Nzo Business Forum. As the donations continue to overwhelm the local municipality, Umzimvubu Mayor has acknowledged the good gesture conducted by the Local SMME’s in the District.
“Today I stand before you and deeply humbled by your good gesture towards our people. You have truly committed yourselves in the fight against this pandemic and for that, we appreciate and value the amount of support received thus far.” said Umzimvubu Mayor.
Regional Secretary of the Alfred Nzo Business Forum, Sinoxolo Nomafusi said,” The business forum saw a need to intervene. We appreciate the support and local investment towards local SMME’s in Umzimvubu. This investment is now being realised through this initiative, as we plough back to the communities we come from” concluded Nomafusi.
“The municipality encourages more Local SMME’s to follow suite and assist local government in fighting this pandemic. Together we can indeed do more” concluded Umzimvubu Mayor. Community residents are urged to observe lockdown regulations and to take strict precautionary measures in public areas.
