UMZIMVUBU MAYOR TO CONDUCT AN OVERSIGHT VISIT AT BUTSHENI VILLAGE IN
KWABHACA
KwaBhaca – Umzimvubu Mayor, Cllr Zukiswa Ndevu, accompanied by the Municipal Executive
Committee will conduct an oversight visit at Butsheni Village in KwaBhaca. This visit follows the
ongoing construction of a 3 km access road and a concrete bridge, both estimated to be worth 12
million rand in value. The project first commenced on the 23rd September 2022 and is expected to be
complete by the end of July 2023.
“The purpose of this oversight visit is to ensure that public funds are utilized within the transcripts of
the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA). Part of my visit will also entail quality check and a
comprehensive outlook on the number of job opportunities that have been created since the
commencement of this project”, said Cllr Ndevu.
The project has employed more than 10 people in ward 27 for labour intensive skills. Media Houses
are invited to join the Mayor during her visit to the area.
