The Corporate Services Department is responsible for the following:

• Human Resources Management and Development
• Sound Governance.
• Information Communication Technology.

• Provision of Sound Personnel Management.
• Put into place an Induction Programme for new employees.
• Create a safe working environment for employees.
• Develop an electronic Record Management System.
• Provide effective recruitment and selection.
• Provide professional and effective administrative support to all Council structures to enhance optimal functioning.
• Develop and implement Skills Development Programmes and Training in line with the Workplace Skills Plan.
• Oversee logistical arrangements for all Council Meetings, Standing Committee Sittings and events.
• Compile and implement an Employment Equity Plan.
• Ensure the implementation of the Performance Management System.
• Manages travel logistics for Councillors and officials.
• Develop and implement an Employee Assistance Programme.
• The application of grievance procedures.
